Synopsis
This video illustrates how the unique intraocular perspective of the endoscope can improve visualization of surgical planes during vitrectomy for complex pediatric vitreoretinopathies. In diseases such as retinopathy of prematurity, familial exudative vitreoretinopathy and persistent fetal vasculature syndrome, differentiating retinal folds from fibrovascular membranes and hypercellular vitreous is critical for surgical success.
